The world-famous tenor Rolando Villazón sang for the last time in Prague on 29 June 2021 at the Rudolfinum accompanied by the French pianist Morgane Fauchois-Prado. It was a fantastic evening! After a break due to the covid-19 pandemic, Rolando was not hiding his emotion and excitement to be singing for a live audience again. He was in great singing form and mesmerized the audience not only with his singing but also with his infectious joy. He confirmed that he is a phenomenon, an unbridled element, "the most charming star on the contemporary opera scene" (The Times).
Since 2012 Rolando Villazón has performed in Prague repeatedly at the invitation of Nachtigall Artists, each time with an original programme. This time, together with the PKF - Prague Philharmonia, he will offer, under the baton of Guerassim Voronkov, arias from operas by J. Massenet, P. I. Tchaikovsky, G. Donizetti and G. Verdi.
Rolando loves the Prague audience! And we all wish him all the best for his 50th birthday.
