A Message from Music Director and Chief Conductor
Emmanuel Villaume

Dear friends,
Once again, the inspiring, history-filled spaces of the Lobkowicz Palace at Prague Castle open their doors to host another season of the Lobkowicz donor subscription series. The concerts in this series are deeply moving, I would say even captivating, both for visitors and for us performers. I am immensely pleased that since its very beginnings, it has enjoyed great audience support, thus expressing their backing and affection for their orchestra. Music is a living element that continuously evolves, which is why our series sensitively combines the world of early music with newer compositions. It is my great honor to thank you wholeheartedly and to repeat my often-stated phrase that art cannot flourish without those who support it with love and enthusiasm. Thank you for helping us this way to nurture values that return us to the very essence of humanity.

Emmanuel Villaume

Yours sincerely,
Emmanuel Villaume
Music Director and Chief Conductor of Prague Philharmonia

Combine Experience with Supporting Excellence in Art

Born from conductor Jiří Bělohlávek's vision in 1994 as the Prague Chamber Philharmonic, Prague Philharmonia has evolved into an internationally acclaimed ensemble. Its prestigious status is reflected in frequent world tours and collaborations with legendary labels like Deutsche Grammophon and Warner Classics. Under the artistic leadership of French maestro Emmanuel Villaume since 2015/2016, the orchestra continues to reach new artistic heights.

With over a hundred performances annually, including numerous international appearances, Prague Philharmonia stands at the forefront of musical innovation. As pioneers in Czech musical education, they launched groundbreaking programs for young children and established an Orchestral Academy nurturing emerging talent. Operating as a non-profit organization, 60% of their funding comes from performances, corporate partnerships, and private patronage. Your Lobkowicz subscription directly enriches this extraordinary musical institution's mission.
