Lenka Filová

She was born in Pardubice, where she studied oboe at the Elementary Art School under Jan Kolář and at the conservatory under Libuše Voráčová. She graduated from the Prague Academy of Performing Arts in the class of Assoc. Prof. Lidmila Ježová. For 10 years, she served as the principal oboist of the Moravian Philharmonic Orchestra in Olomouc, and since 1998, she has been a member of the Prague Philharmonia. In addition to her orchestral work, she also performs with her husband, pianist Martin Fila.
