FAMA Quartet is one of the top Czech ensembles in the interpretation of both Czech and international contemporary music. As a frequent guest of Prague concert series such as Přítomnost, Umělecká beseda, and Krása dneška, the quartet regularly performs works by contemporary composers, including both avant-garde and more traditional 20th-century classics (Schoenberg, Berg, Webern, Kagel, Lutosławski, Xenakis) as well as significant contemporary Czech and European composers (Adámek, Kopelent, Loudová, Pudlák, Srnka, and others). The quartet has performed at festivals such as Prague Spring (2011, 2016), Contempuls (2008, 2010), Ostrava Days of New Music, Israel Festival, Afyonkarahisar Klasik Muzik Festivali (Turkey), and also in concerts in Japan. Its members are players in leading Czech orchestras and have participated in numerous seminars and workshops dedicated to the interpretation of contemporary music, both in the Czech Republic (HAMU Prague, VŠMU Bratislava) and abroad (Romania, Turkey). They regularly record for Czech Radio.
