Hana Kubisová – violin

A native of Mladá Boleslav, Kubisová started learning the violin at the age of eight with the acclaimed violin teacher Josef Novák, followed by studies at the Conservatoire in Prague with Prof. Vladimír Rejšek and the Academy of Performing Arts in Prague. Here she completed a master's degree under the guidance of Profs. Vladimír Rejšek and Jiří Tomášek, and studied chamber music with Antonín Kohout, the founder of the legendary Smetana Quartet. 

During her studies she attended a number of international interpretation courses, for example, the Fondation Yehudi Menuhin France, Die Internationale Sommer-akademie Pommersfelden and Sommerakademie Semmering and has successfully participated in a number of competitions, especially in chamber music. In 1991 she won the 1st prize and the W. A. ​​Mozart Prize for best performance of Mozart's works in Dušek's Music Competition for the Young, in 1995 with the Trio Concertante the 2nd prize in the International Music Interpretation Competition Beethoven’s Hradec. She has released several solo and chamber recordings for Czech Radio.  

In 1994 she became a founding member of the Prague Chamber Philharmonic, today the PKF- Prague Philharmonia, where she still plays in the first violins section. 

She also regularly performs as a soloist and chamber musician. In 2016 she performed together with organist Aleš Bárta and mezzo-soprano Lucie Hilscherová at a memorial event and concert as part of the Prague Spring International Music Festival - Sukovy Křečovice; in 2019 she performed with the harpist Jana Boušková in a live television broadcast of the 56th Golden Prague International Television Festival closing ceremony. 

She is a member of the Trio Concertante. 

Her violin is from the workshop of Dalibor Bzirský, from 2011. 

In addition to playing, for many years she has been devoting her time to educational activities; in 2010-2014 she was at the birth of the Harmonie Endowment Fund and since 2016 she has been teaching at the Adolf Voborský Elementary Art School in Prague. 

Slávka Vernerová – piano

After graduating from the Pardubice Conservatoire under the leadership of Prof. Martin Hršel, she took up between 1998 - 2003 the Master’s programme at the Prague Academy of Music with Prof. Ivan Moravec, followed by her Doctorate programme completed in 2007.  

She also took part in master classes with Nelly Akopian and in 2002 studied for three months as a postgraduate student at the Royal College of Music in London. In the same year Czech Television produced a forty-minute portrait in the series Without a Limit (director Jan Mudra). 

Vernerová won the International Smetana Piano Competition in Hradec Králové in 1996, as well as other competitions abroad, including Wroclaw 1995, Missouri 1998 and Wales 2001. 

She has played with practically all domestic orchestras, including the Czech Philharmonic, Prague Symphony Orchestra FOK, Brno Philharmonic, Janáček Philharmonic Ostrava and Moravian Philharmonic Olomouc as well as with orchestras abroad, such as Gunma Symphony Orchestra and Royal Liverpool Orchestra, among the conductors she has performed with are Libor Pešek, Jiří Bělohlávek, Martin Turnovský and Jakub Hrůša. In 2009 she took part in the Proms festival at the Royal Albert Hall, London as a guest of the BBC Symphony Orchestra. She has given solo recitals as part of the FOK World Piano Series, in Tonnhalle (Zurich), in the Concert Series in Osaka and in Music and Beyond, Ottawa.  She has repeatedly performed at the Prague Spring International Festival, in 2020 as part of the Firkušny Piano Festival. 

Vernerová (née. Pěchočová) devotes herself also to chamber music in the Spring Duo, as a founding member of the Dvořák Piano Quartet and is a sought-after pianist for collaboration with leading instrumentalists and ensembles of the Czech musical scene.  

In 2010 she recorded for the French label Praga Digitals a CD of Janáček’s solo piano compositions. This recording received one of the most prestigious rewards in France, the CD CHOC, in the Czech Lands it was announced as TIP Harmonie magazine and the Belgian Radio Classic included it in their TOP 10. 

For the label Vernerová - Pěchočová recorded two other CDs: in 2011 a solo recital Chopin - Schumann and in 2013 three piano concerti by W. A. Mozart. The recording received all five gold stars from Diapason. 

Lucie Hilscherová – mezzo-soprano

Hilscherová makes regular guest appearances at the National Theatre in Prague, National Moravian-Silesian Theatre in Ostrava, J.K. Tyl Theatre in Pilsen, Silesian Theatre in Opava, State Theatre in Košice and Nationaltheater Mannheim. She sang Háta in the Bartered Bride in Tokyo (2010, Tokyo Metropolitan Symphony Orchestra, Suntory Hall, conductor Leoš Svárovský) and in London (2011, BBC Symphony Orchestra, Barbican Hall, conductor Jiří Bělohlávek).  

She is one of the most sought-after concert singers in the field of song and oratorio, and also enjoys interpreting compositions by contemporary composers. She has collaborated with the London Symphony Orchestra, BBC Symphony Orchestra, Bach-Collegium Stuttgart, Stuttgart Radio Symphony Orchestra, Czech Philharmonic, PKF — Prague Philharmonia, Prague Symphony Orchestra FOK, Collegium 1704 and the Brno Philharmonic. 

She has had the honour of singing under the baton of Helmuth Rilling, Alexander Vedernikov, Kazushi Ono, Jan Latham-Koenig, Cornelius Meister, Kaspar Zehnder, Libor Pešek, Jiří Bělohlávek, Tomáš Netopil, Petr Vronský and Leoš Svárovský. 

Among the festivals she has performed at are the Musikfest Stuttgart, Beethovenfest Bonn, Grafenegg Musik-Sommer, Prague Spring, Easter Festival of Sacred Music Brno, Smetana's Litomyšl, St. Wenceslas Music Festival and the International Music Festival Petr Dvorský Jaroměřice.
