“From Bohemia to the end of the world” – that's how one could articulate the successful artistic career of tenor Petr Nekoranec, who made his debut in South Africa in August 2024 while in March 2025 he will travel to Brisbane, Australia to make his debut in the Queensland opera house as Don Ramiro in Rossini’s La cenerentola. Petr was born in Nové Dvory by the City of Polná, studied singing in Pardubice, Munich, and New York, performed in Berlin, Munich, Stuttgart, Bayreuth, Florence, Teatro Real in Madrid, Warsaw, São Paulo, Brazil, etc. He is also a popular guest of French opera houses such as the Théâtre du Capitole v Toulouse a Opéra national de Lorraine v Nancy. In July 2024 he made his debut at the famous festival in Aix-en-Provence. He is a soloist at the National Theatre Opera, where he added his first ever Rodolfo in Puccini's La bohème in the 2024/25 season to the roaster of his many beautiful roles.

Petr returns to the Polná Castle for the third time, again with excellent artists that he met during his international engagements. This time it will be the young Estonian soprano Mirjam Mesak, soloist of the Bavarian State Opera in Munich. In the 2024/25 season, she will be there, among others, Freia (Wagner: Das Rhinegold), Gretel (Humperdinck: Hänsel und Gretel), Agathe (Weber: Der Freischütz), Frasquita (Bizet: Carmen) as well as The Jay in Janáček's Cunning Little Vixen and The First Water Nymph in Dvořák‘s Rusalka. The second guest of the evening will be the renowned Italian baritone Mattia Olivieri, a regular guest in the most important Italian opera house – La Scala in Milan, he also performs at the Royal Opera House Covent Garden in London, the Bavarian State Opera in Munich, Teatro La Fenice in Venice, the Vienna State Opera, etc. In November 2023, he made his debut at the Metropolitan Opera New York in the role of Riolobo in Daniel Catán’s opera Florencia en el Amazonas (Met in HD broadcast on 9th December 2023). The Association of Friends of Musical Talents presented Mattia in Prague in May 2022.

The courtyard of the castle in Polná will resound with arias and duets by famous Italian opera masters, as well as popular Neapolitan songs. The artist will be accompanied by the great Prague Philharmonia under the baton of one of the best Czecho-Slovak opera conductors Rastislav Štúr. Can you imagine a more romantic summer evening and night in the open air? Come to Polná!
