In February 2025, Prague will host a starry opera gala. The phenomenal Mongolian baritone Amartuvshin Enkhbat, who receives offers from the most famous opera houses, accepted the invitation of the Nachtigall Artists agency, and found a place in his busy calendar for one performance in Prague.

In 2012, his victory in the Operalia world competition opened his way among world opera elite. Yet, it still took some time before the opera houses noticed him. Other competition successes followed, including the Francesco Viñas International Competition in Barcelona as well as the famous BBC Cardiff Singer of the World competition. Consequently, invitations to the Metropolitan Opera in New York followed (Giorgio Germont in La traviata), La Scala in Milan (Rigoletto and Macbeth), and in April 2024 Amartuvshin Enkhbat will perform as Scarpia in Tosca at the Vienna State Opera.

In October 2023, “Amartuvshin Enkhbat’s Rigoletto conquers Covent Garden”. That was the title of the review of the performance on Bachtrack.com which described his as “a huge bear-growl of a voice, with power to burn and dark colours not often found in a baritone. But clear Italian diction shines through the darkness and when Enkhbat chooses to smooth things out, he does so with a seductive, velvety legato.“

His concert partner will be Juliana Grigoryan. Do you remember this lovely Armenian soprano? At the invitation of our Association of Friends of Musical Talents, she performed together with Petr Nekoranec and Prague Philharmonia on 26th June 2023 in Smetana Hall, and she returned in November 2023 for a joint concert with the Polish tenor Piotr Beczała. Since September 2023, Juliana has been a member of the Lindemann Program at the New York Metropolitan Opera, where she will make her debut on 13th March 2024 - in the role of Liù in Franco Zeffirelli's legendary production of Turandot. She sang this role in December 2022 at the Dutch National Opera in Amsterdam, where she will return in May 2024 as Puccini's Lauretta (Gianni Schicchi). "Liù and Lauretta are roles that will always have a very special place in my heart", said Juliana in an interview for Operaplus.cz

The artists will be accompanied by Prague Philharmonia under the baton of Francesco Ivan Ciampa. Obviously, this will be another night to remember!
