Chilean-American tenor Jonathan Tetelman came to Prague for the first time in January 2024 and completely captivated the Dvořák Hall, filled to the last seat, with his singing and charm. He also provided an unexpected and spectacular surprise at the end of the concert when choral singing resounded from both sides of the galleries and the balcony: students from the Jan Deyl Conservatory in Prague and the Pardubice Conservatory accompanied Jonathan in the most famous opera hit, Calaf's aria "Nessun dorma". It was an unforgettable evening!

Jonathan Tetelman is a welcome guest on major world stages in Europe and America, performing at the Covent Garden in London, Theater an der Wien, Deutsche Oper Berlin, Gran Teatre del Liceu in Barcelona, the Vienna State Opera, San Francisco Opera, Houston Grand Opera, and more.

In the spring of 2024, the famous Metropolitan Opera in New York welcomed him with open arms as "another significant tenor of Italian opera" for the first time. The Met offered Jonathan performances in two operas: in April in the opera La Rondine (the role of Ruggero) and in May in the opera Madama Butterfly (the role of Pinkerton).

His debut was successful, as viewers around the world can see for themselves thanks to the MET in HD broadcasts. "In the role of Ruggero, he had the charm and carefree attitude of a young Cary Grant," wrote the website seenandheard-international.com. Being a new Italian tenor star with the charm of a famous American film actor is not bad!

One review of Jonathan's Prague concert had the headline: "A new star of the world tenor sky flew through Prague only for a moment" (Opera+, February 8, 2024). But that is no longer true. In June 2025, Jonathan will return to Prague, accompanied by the Prague Philharmonia in famous arias from operas by Georges Bizet, Jules Massenet, Giacomo Puccini, and Giuseppe Verdi, conducted by the renowned French conductor, composer, and pianist Frédéric Chaslin.
