Amazing atmosphere of the A5 concert raised the audience from their seats
A joint performance of Cherubini's Requiem in C Minor with the Prague Philharmonic Choir under the baton of chief conductor Emmanuel Villaume was rewarded by a sold-out Rudolfinum with enthusiastic standing ovation.
The first half of the concert was also a great success, when the orchestra played Beethoven's Ruins of Athens, Pichl's Symphony in B Major, and Hector Berlioz's King Lear. The Prague Philharmonic Choir was led by choirmaster Lukáš Kozubík, who was interviewed by musicologist Kateřina Pincová in the Talich Salon before the concert.
