A Grand Celebration of Czech Music
The year 2024 is the Year of Czech Music, and the Prague Philharmonic Choir is celebrating with a special concert featuring the music of some of the greatest Czech composers.
The concert will be conducted by Lukáš Vasilek, and will feature more than 100 musicians on stage. The first half of the concert will focus on the music of Bohuslav Martinů, Leoš Janáček, and Antonín Dvořák. The second half of the concert will be devoted to the music of Bedřich Smetana, whose 200th birthday will be celebrated in 2024.
The concert will feature a variety of well-known and lesser-known works from these composers. Particular highlights include the aria from Dvořák's beloved opera Rusalka, the soothing lullaby from Smetana's charming The Bartered Bride, and the rousing chorus from his epic Libuše, which has become almost a folk song itself.
This concert is a must-see for any fan of Czech music. It is a chance to hear some of the greatest works of Czech music performed by some of the best musicians in the world.
