31st Season Opens with a Spectacular Performance
The opening concert of the 31st season created a musical bridge connecting four generations of brilliant Czech composers.
On the stage of Dvořák Hall at Rudolfinum, under the direction of Music Director and Chief Conductor Emmanuel Villaume, our players alternated with members of the acclaimed Belfiato Quintet. They performed the Serenade for Wind Quintet, Strings, Xylophone and Harp by Pulitzer Prize winner Karel Husa. The evening also featured works by Bedřich Smetana, Vítězslav Novák, and Antonín Dvořák's The Golden Spinning Wheel.
The audience enjoyed magnificent compositions that brought a unique atmosphere to the sold-out hall. We look forward to more concerts and more shared experiences!
