The Trio Concertante was founded at the Music Faculty of the Academy of Performing Arts in Prague. The ensemble is made up of students from the Prague Conservatory and AMU and gradually under the guidance of the legendary music teacher, Antonín Kohout, took part in the International Summer Academy in Semmering in Austria and in 1995 was awarded 2nd prize in the International Music Competition Beethoven’s Hradec. The trio reformed in 2017 as part of the PKF — Prague Philharmonia’s chamber music series, and as a result of the project Quiet in an area full of music, in cooperation with the sculptor Aleš Hnízdil.
