„MMy passion is exploring new possibilities and a new repertory for my instrument.“
— Ben Goldscheider
British horn player Ben Goldscheider comes from a family of string players, and he himself initially carried on this tradition by playing the cello. He was introduced to the French horn as a child after doctors recommended that playing a wind instrument would strengthen his lungs. He is now one of the most outstanding talents of the young generation of world classical music and a tireless advocate of the modern repertory: he has given world premieres of more than seventy new works for the French horn. A finalist in the BBC Young Musician competition, he studied with Radek Baborák at the Barenboim-Said Academy in Berlin, and among other venues he has performed at the BBC Proms in the world premiere of Gwilym Simcock’s Triple Concerto, as well as at the Concertgebouw, the Elbphilharmonie, the Musikverein and Wigmore Hall.
He collaborates with the London Philharmonic, the BBC Symphony Orchestra and the Academy of St Martin in the Fields, and he is also active in chamber ensembles. A recipient of the Echo Rising Stars award for the 2021–2022 season, he is now also engaged in teaching as a professor at the Royal Conservatory in Antwerp.
The subscription for 1 person costs 32,000 CZK (including VAT).
The subscription covers all four concerts, a reserved seat in the hall and entry to all parts of the evening. The subscription is transferable.
