„As a singer I am lucky: words represent another element that can help shape my interpretation“
— Anita Monserrat
British mezzo-soprano Anita Monserrat is taking to European concert stages with captivating confidence and a voice full of youthful freshness and stylistic flexibility. This allows her to move naturally from Purcell and Handel to Mozart, Rossini and Bizet. During two seasons at the Vienna State Opera’s Opera Studio she took on a range of roles in operas spanning from Mozart to Tchaikovsky. Last season she appeared as Cherubino and Zerlina at the Cologne Opera, made her debut at the Musikverein and Carnegie Hall, and excelled as Mercédès in a star-studded new production of Carmen at the Salzburg Festival.
In 2024 she won the SWR Junge Opernstars competition and was awarded second prize at Neue Stimmen; a year earlier she advanced to the semifinals of Plácido Domingo’s Operalia. She studied at the University of Music and Performing Arts in Vienna, followed by Trinity College in Cambridge and the Royal Academy of Music in London.
The subscription for 1 person costs 32,000 CZK (including VAT).
The subscription covers all four concerts, a reserved seat in the hall and entry to all parts of the evening. The subscription is transferable.
By purchasing a subscription, you support the Prague Philharmonia orchestra. We will issue you a donation receipt for part of the subscription cost.
