Administrative authorities

The PKF Foundation was established in 1994 to provide comprehensive support to the orchestra (formerly PKF – Prague Philharmonia). It was founded by conductor Jiří Bělohlávek, composer Petr Eben and pianist Ivan Moravec. The Foundation supports the orchestra financially, contributing in particular to the purchase of musical instruments, the expansion and enhancement of the orchestral inventory and other assets essential to the orchestra’s activities. As a non-profit organization, the Foundation’s mission is not to generate profit but to raise funds to support the orchestra and its development. Its resources come from the Foundation Investment Fund as well as from donations and contributions by supporters. The PKF Foundation is governed by a Board of Directors and a Supervisory Board. In accordance with applicable legislation, patrons and benefactors may deduct their donations from their tax base under certain conditions.
