Born in Martin, Slovakia, he began playing the cello at the age of six with Bohuslav Pavlík and later continued his studies at the Žilina Conservatory in the class of Květa Glasnáková. He went on to study at the Academy of Performing Arts in Bratislava under Jozef Podhoranský, graduating with the Rector’s Award. He further refined his artistry in Switzerland with Peter Hoerr, completing his studies with a Soloist Diploma.
During his studies, he participated in numerous international masterclasses and courses as both a soloist and chamber musician, including the Sommerakademie Semmering, Holland Music Sessions, and the World Cello Congress. He worked with distinguished performers and teachers including Pieter Wispelwey, Tobias Kühne, Arto Noras, Boris Baraz, Michael Sanderling, Alexander Kaganowsky, Conradin Brotbeck, H. Schneeberger, Uzi Wiesel, Gregory Horsch, Tsuyoshi Tsutsumi, Dmitry Ferschtman, Robert Cohen, Gerhard Mantel, Josef Chuchro, Maria Tchaikovskaya, Csaba Onczay, Daniel Shafran, Bruno Canino, and Igor Ozim.
He is a member of Trio Concertante, the Šarman Ensemble, and Prague Philharmonia. As a chamber musician, he has appeared at numerous international festivals and concert series, including chamber concerts at the Luxembourg Philharmonic, the Embassy Series in Washington, D.C., the Schleswig-Holstein Music Festival, Festival de Divonne, the Chamber Music Festival in Este, Italy, the Žilina Chamber Music Festival, the Chopin Festival in Bern, the Young Musicians Festival in Nijmegen, the Kraków Composers’ Festival, the Bohuslav Martinů Days in Prague, and the Chamber Music Festival in Märkische Schweiz.
