Pavel Rehberger

He was born in Prague, where he studied percussion with Oldřich Šatava and organ with Jan Kalfus at the Prague Conservatory. After graduating in 1996, he joined the Prague Chamber Philharmonia, today Prague Philharmonia, as a timpanist. In 1998, he was also appointed Second Timpanist of the Orchestra of the National Theatre in Prague, where he has served as Principal Timpanist since 2011. He continues to perform with both orchestras.

Throughout his professional career, he has collaborated with numerous ensembles, including the Czech Philharmonic, the Prague Symphony Orchestra FOK, and the Prague Radio Symphony Orchestra. He also regularly performs with leading Czech period-instrument ensembles, including Musica Florea, Ensemble Inégal, Collegium 1704, and Collegium Marianum.

In 2018, he completed a master’s degree in percussion at the Academy of Performing Arts in Prague, studying with Daniel Mikolášek. As part of his studies, he further developed his expertise in chamber music performance.
