Magic at the Lobkowicz Palace

The first concert of this year's Lobkowicz Subscription series (April 8, 2026) offered an evening of exceptional virtuosity and refined elegance. Portuguese clarinetist Carlos Ferreira, winner of the prestigious ARD competition and solo clarinetist of the Royal Concertgebouw Orchestra, captivated the audience with his "crystalline clarity" and expressive performance. A truly poignant moment arrived with Schumann's Abendlied (Evening Song), perfectly timed with a breathtaking sunset over Prague Castle. The evening concluded with a spirited encore of B. Kovács' Sholem-alekhem, marking a brilliant start to our 10th anniversary season at the Lobkowicz Palace, held in cherished partnership with the Lobkowicz family.
