A Family Triumph of Contemporary Music in the S Cycle

On Tuesday, March 17, the sold-out Studio at Švandovo Theatre hosted the fourth concert of our contemporary music cycle, S. This special evening brought together two generations of Czech culture, featuring composers Pavel Trojan and Pavel Trojan Jr.

The rich program showcased five compositions across various instrumentations, including solo harp and two world premieres commissioned specifically for this event: Moondance Séance and a Wind Quartet. Performed with precision and passion by members of the Prague Philharmonia under the leadership of concertmaster Pavla Tesařová, the music was accompanied by a captivating discussion.

The wonderful atmosphere and packed hall confirm that contemporary music continues to hold a vital place in Prague's cultural life.
