Hana Dostálová Roušarová comes from a musical family in Zlín, where she also attended a local music school. She went on to study at the Brno Conservatory with Professor Rudolf Šťastný and at the Prague Conservatory with Professor Jaroslav Foltýn.
She completed her conservatory studies with a performance of Sibelius’s Violin Concerto at the Dvořák Hall of the Rudolfinum. She subsequently graduated from the Academy of Performing Arts in Prague and undertook further studies in Freiburg. She achieved success in several competitions, including the national music school competition, the Kocian Violin Competition, and the Prague Spring International Music Competition.
Since her student years, chamber music has been an important part of her musical life. Among other ensembles, she was a founding member of the Pavel Haas Quartet. She currently plays in the first violin section of Prague Philharmonia and teaches at the Pro radost Private Music School in Prague-Řeporyje.
