She was born in Sendai, Japan. She began studying the violin and piano at the age of four and took up the viola at nineteen. In 2002, she graduated from Yamagata University. From 2002, she studied at the Prague Conservatory with Doležal, and she has been a member of Prague Philharmonia since 2004.
