Dalibor Tkadlčík studied double bass at the Bratislava Conservatory in the class of Professor Pavel Profant and subsequently at the Academy of Performing Arts in Bratislava (VŠMU) with Professor Radoslav Šašina. During his studies, he was a member of the chamber ensemble Musica Aeterna.
From 1991 to 1995, he was a member of the Moravian Philharmonic Olomouc. He has been a member of Prague Philharmonia since 2013 and concurrently serves as Principal Double Bass of the State Opera Orchestra.
Alongside his orchestral career, he is also active as a teacher.
