Dagmar Mašková

Dagmar Mašková was born in Prague, where she studied at the Prague Conservatory and the Academy of Performing Arts. As a student, she successfully participated in a number of competitions, including the Conservatories Competition and Beethoven’s Hradec.

From 1988 to 1991, she was a member of the Gustav Mahler Jugendorchester under Claudio Abbado. It was during this period that the idea of establishing the Prague Chamber Philharmonia (today Prague Philharmonia) was born. Dagmar has been a member of the orchestra ever since and currently serves as Assistant Principal Viola. She has also performed with the Suk Chamber Orchestra, the Prague Radio Symphony Orchestra, and the Orchestra of the National Theatre in Prague.

Alongside her orchestral work, she performs as a soloist and as a member of various chamber ensembles. She also plays the viola d’amore.
